The Horizon Arts Gallery, located in the heart of Wynwood, Miami is looking to change this predominant reality. The gallery is featuring one of Israel’s most prominent and original artists, David Gerstein. Gerstein has been hailed as one of the most innovative artists in the world today. While that might seem to be a bold statement, it is impossible not to recognize his ingenuity and far-reaching imagination after viewing his work.
Gerstein is an accomplished artist in a wide variety of mediums; his works revolve around a variety of paintings to wall sculptures to intricate paper cut-outs.
After working with various materials and mediums, Gerstein embraced steel and used it to create works that were completely new to the art world. Gerstein fashions his pieces fromlayers of cut-out steel and then hand-paintsthem in bold, vibrant colors. His works are playful in spirit yet mind-boggling in complexity, featuring a myriad of colorful butterflies, exotic birds, bicyclists, flowers, and jazz musiciansamong other subjects.
